Compute-Cluster Optimization
Summary:
Conducted analysis of bottlenecks in the Hoodoos cluster at Middlebury College.
Developed a Python framework to automate configuration, testing, and maintenance
of various MPI installations (OpenMPI, MPICH, MPICH2, LAM).
Tangibles:
- Python-based automatic configuration and testing for OpenMPI, MPICH, MPICH2, and LAM.
- Graphics illustrating the location of bottleneck conditions in the performance of the cluster.

Shear-Alfvén Waves in Gyrokinetic Particle Simulation
Summary:
Worked on code implementing a new double split-weight scheme for gyrokinetic simulation.
Used the code for testing numerical restrictions on temporal resolution in the simulation
of these waves in one and two dimensions,
and on spatial resolutions on the formation of shear Alfvén eigenmodes in two dimensional
sheared slab simulations.
